We had an amazing stay here, Mama is so lovely and made us feel very at home. The breakfast was one of the best breakfasts we’ve had, with delicious homemade bread and fresh orange juice. We wish we could have stayed longer.

A lovely hostel in a kinda hectic spot in town. We stayed here because it's close ish to the airport and we're just staying one night in Lima before headed out in the morning. I highly recommend this spot, it was lovely inside the hostel, a small oasis. The staff was very kind and accommodating, when we were getting our Uber to the airport they volunteered to wait on the street and watch for it because it was extra chaotic at that hour. It's also true that the hostel has fresh bread daily for breakfast with eggs cooked to order and a resident cat. Though the neighborhood wasn't ideal, the hostel had a very secure entrance and I felt safe

Mama backpackers hostel is the best hostel to stay close the airport from Lima! The hostel is runned by Mama who takes great care of you and has a delicous breakfast with home made bread. If you have to leave early due to an darly flight it will not be a an issue to still have breakfast. The hostel is decorated by beautiful paintings which are painted by Mama herself. Best place to stay in Lima if you want to be closer to the airport!

We booked Mama's place on the night before we ended our journey through Peru mainly because it was close to the airport. We really liked the stay, the place is great, everything is super clean and they really do understand what is hosting and not only accommodate people. Very comfy rooms and they let us enjoy the common area and bathrooms after check out while we waited for our late night flight. You can definitely feel the warmth the whole place emanates. Cats are a plus of course. The area, despite not super central has everything around, might be less practical if you want to visit the touristy part of the city but do not hesitate to book, I know we wouldn't!!

The Hostel is very Clean. Mama is a very lovely and careing hostelowner. She gave me her Metropolitan Bus card that i could get around Lima by Bus, she also gave me Plans for the Bus and explained to me where to hopp on and off. The Breakfast is simple but very delicious. Bread, egg, jam and coffee. Perfect for getting to and from the airport

Kind of a hard place to find and the place was gated, but had decent places to eat around. Area can be kind of sketchy. The host of this place was a very sweet granny. She was very hospitable, and cooked us free breakfast. She was so nice even though communication was limited. We basically had the hostel rooms to ourselves.

This is not a hostel, it is a home! The whole family is so kind and accommodating. My friend and I have so much gratitude for our stay there. Arrived tired and weary left with full hearts and smiles!

The host was EXCEPTIONALLY nice and let me store a large bag there for over a week. Very basic amenities but that is all we needed for a night between flights. Super cute cats and decent simple breakfast of eggs and toast. Host very quick to respond on what's app even late at night! We felt very taken care of. I got the feeling that the area was not the safest - the host kept saying we should not wait outside for our UBER and she spoke to our UBER driver for us - which i appreciated as she was looking out for us. The bed was not the comfiest and the actual building and inside are quite old, but again, simple and adequate for a short stay!

The location isn't for everyone, but if you need to be in that neighborhood, it is a great place. There was confusion about my (very) early morning breakfast the day of my departure, but I can only assume it was due to my Spanish as the staff seems to be willing to move mountains and earth for their guests.

This is a truly special place. My flight landed at midnight so I didn't arrive until after 1am and someone was outside waiting for me and helped me with my bag. In the morning (and by morning I mean noon, which was technically after my check-out time but I needed the sleep), mama herself---the sweetest little mama-looking mama---greeted me and made me eggs, toast, and what looked like freshly pressed orange juice. She also walked me outside to show me where to charge my SIM card, and waited with me outside to make sure I safely got to my Uber driver. Recommend this place 10000%.

Honestly one of the best stays I had in Peru even though it was for one night. Aside from the rooms and facilities being nice, Mama makes you feel like you're one of her own grandchildren - even making sure that you have a full breakfast ready and waiting when you wake up.

Mama backpackers is absolutely one of the best hostel you can find. You can see those beautiful pictures of the facilities and yes, they are super nice. One of the owner is a backpacker as well so he knows what we need and what we appreciate. Also those pictures on the walls were taken by him. Just looking at the wall is already enjoyable. but also lots of people like it here because of the people. Getting to know them is the best part of staying this hostel. This excellent family run hostel gives you feel like home. It's close to the airport so when you arrive in Lima, go straight to Mama Backpackers. They'll welcome you well and I'm sure you'll love it there.
