This hostel had such a nice vibe. The location was great, but initially did have a hard time finding it for some weird reason lol. Always felt safe. All the common areas were decked out and they even had a sweet upstairs balcony where everyone hung out and got to know each other. The showers were nice and warm. The staff were really friendly and nice, esp Jesus. He really went out of his way to make me and the other guests feel welcomed.

Summary: If you’re looking for a quick stopover, it might suffice. However, if you want a friendly, warm hostel with good vibes in a safe area and opportunities to meet like-minded travelers, this isn’t the place. We found another hostel nearby and had a much better time. The Hostel Vibe: There was zero vibe or character here. It just didn’t excite us at all. Accommodation: We were placed in a subleased apartment in a separate building away from the main facilities. The beds were small, with only one pillow and a thin blanket. There was no AC or heating, so we were uncomfortable throughout our stay. The main building is a subleased residential block, making it hard to locate upon arrival. The building could benefit from a fresh coat of paint and signage to assist guests, and the windows are thin, allowing outside noise to disturb sleep. Location: The main building is situated in a dodgy, dirty neighborhood just outside the central restaurant and bar area. We noticed some questionable characters around at night, which raised safety concerns. Cleanliness: Although the place was generally clean, the cleaner who repeatedly entered our subleased apartment seemed unhappy and unwelcoming. Her behavior appeared erratic, which made us concerned about our belongings. We reported this to the team but received no response or resolution. Bar and Atmosphere: The bar was overpriced, located outside and cold. It mostly attracted a few locals and intoxicated drinkers, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Happy hour didn’t offer much savings and seemed poorly organized. Additional Note: Despite the large number of guest bookings on Hostel World there was no social atmosphere and no one to be seen for exchanging travel tips or experiences, which was disappointing.

Nothing but great things to say about this hostel. The rooftop bar is incredible, great views. Staff is fantastic, rooms are very comfortable. Shay and the bar staff are extremely friendly and keep the atmosphere fun at night. Maggy and Argel make amazing breakfasts every morning that are well worth their value. I highly recommend breakfast. The freshly squeezed orange juice is fantastic as well.

We booked this hostel, expecting a private room within the same building. However, our room was in a different building across the street. The vibe of this hostel is far from pleasant or friendly, lacking any sense of community. It’s probably the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed at. The manager's behavior was particularly shocking—speaking in a threatening and disrespectful manner, more like a gangster than a professional. Overall, there's a complete lack of respect for customers. I highly recommend reading reviews before booking this place. Extremely disappointing, the worst hostel experience I've ever had.

Rooms were good for the price, and clean. Like many places in Peru the plumbing could use some work - hot water in the shower was intermittent & no hot water from the sink. Location great, 2 min walk from airport bus and tourist info center/Kennedy park.

One of my favorite hostels in South America. Rooftop bar made it easy to meet people as a solo traveler. It’s open till 3am, I had the private room (15) right next to the bar and it didn’t get too loud late at night even though I was close by. I recommend getting the Salchipapas at the bar! The kitchen was good, it could use cleaner pots and pans. Wifi was pretty fast. Only wish there was a desk in the private room. The people who work there are amazing too, they made everyone feel comfortable. Even when I arrived someone helped me with my big suitcase right away. It’s located on the fourth through sixth floor so there are a lot of stairs which is expected. I can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

I spend some time here and I can’t explain how much of a great experience it was. I spend quite a long time in Peru and this last leg of my trip truly was special, the people and the fun I had here filled my cup over the top. To start the games we played at the roof top bar with Sheila and Claudia was a catalyst to the how week ended. The location was also super convenient to how close it was to restaurants and locations where you can go have fun. Highly recommend this place for all people who want to live life and life to the fullest

Had a great experience at Alpes Hostel Kennedy Park. Check in was super easy and the staff was super attentive and willing to help! Had a private room and it was kept super clean. Will definitely be back whenever I am in Lima. Special thanks to Mizael and Andrea who were beyond helpful giving recommendations and making me feel at home.

Alpes was one of my favorite hostels I have ever stayed in. Initially, I was only going to stay one week, but I ended up extending my time here to three weeks. The main reason for this was the staff - who are absolutely fantastic. From the doormen like Oscar, to the bartenders like Fiorela and Favi, and desk staff like Andrea. I want to give the most shoutout to two staff members in particular, Ariana and Jesus, who do both bartending and desk jobs so well that I was convinced that each of them actually held the opposite role than they do! Throughout my time here I have felt welcomed, hosted, and treated well. When I return to Lima I will be staying here again.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, i slept very well! But most importantly you have very good bartenders on the rooftop, especially Fabi and Fiorella holguin, they make the best Pisco sour you can possibly drink!! Really doesnt get better than that! Very well recommended!!

Very well-located, pretty welcoming and lively common area, bar and amenities. The hotel staff were really nice and helpful, specially the manager, who will be mad at me for not remembering his name, but it’s the thought that counts!
